Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Over 138,000 children die of preventable diseases each year and one out of four children is moderately to severely malnourished. Supported by NPH USA, St. Damien Pediatric Hospital and associated public health programs provide over 80,000 services annually. This is three times more than before the devastating 2010 earthquake. Due to lack of funding, we risk turning away 30,000 children.
