Holiday Celebrations: NPH Guatemala

NPH GuatemalaBecause of government mandates, around 80% of our children visit relatives during Christmas. Those who remain at NPH are treated with extra special attention, such as weekend camping trips and day excursions. In addition, during the break, all 20 of our volunteers work in our home’s sections. With 20 or more adults to provide care and attention, this time of the year is special for the kids who do not have the opportunity to visit family.

In January when everyone has returned to NPH, each child receives a backpack of new clothes as a beginning-of-the-new-school-year gift.
