Jennifer Rayno, CEO, NPH USA
Dear Friends,
Estrella’s name means “star,” and if you met her today, you would understand why. She is a bright, determined young woman on track to graduate high school this year, with dreams of studying psychology so she can one day offer hope to others who have walked a path like hers. Before she found a loving home at NPH, Estrella survived a devastating childhood and spent difficult years in orphanages where stability and love were never guaranteed. It was at NPH, guided by her faith and surrounded by a community that believed in her, that Estrella began to see what was possible.
Her story did not happen by accident. It happened because someone believed it could.
At NPH, transformation has always begun with belief: belief in a child’s potential, in a family’s resilience, in acommunity’s ability to rise. Our founder, Father William Wasson, understood this more than seventy years ago when he opened his arms to the first children who came to NPH with nothing but a need to be loved. His vision was simple and radical: every child deserves not just shelter, but a home. Not just survival, but the chance to flourish.
That vision lives on today in everything we do. In our residential homes, children are known, called by name, encouraged through setbacks, and celebrated in their victories. Through our community strengthening programs, we are reaching families where they are, investing in nutrition, education, and economic empowerment so children can thrive without ever having to leave the families who love them. And at St. Damien Pediatric Hospital in Haiti, the only hospital on the island providing pediatric oncology services, our team is delivering life-saving care to high-risk expecting mothers and the most vulnerable children in the country.
This is what your generosity makes possible. Not programs in the abstract, but a young woman named Estrellastanding at a podium, telling her story, and dreaming of the day she can help others do the same. A mother holding her safely delivered and healthy newborn. A young man walking across a graduation stage with his NPH family cheering from the audience.
Every act of generosity from supporters like you builds the foundation for a future filled with promise. You are not simply giving. You are unlocking the grace of giving, the extraordinary ripple that begins with one life and radiates outward to families, communities, and generations.Thank you for walking this journey with us, for believing in the power of love to heal and transform, and for helping us write the next chapter of NPH’s extraordinary story.
These highlights from our 2025 Impact Report show how NPH supports children in poverty and their families across our homes and programs. This work includes education, healthcare, family support services, and community-based care.

Through NPH’s recurring giving programs, monthly supporters help sustain the education, health care, and family support services that children in poverty and their families rely on every day. This steady support allows NPH to walk alongside families over time, strengthen homes, expand access to quality education and health care and wellbeing services.
Programs like Heroes of Hope, Hearts for Haiti, and child sponsorship offer different ways to participate in this long-term work, each focused on meeting real needs with consistency and care.
At St. Damien Pediatric Hospital in Haiti, NPH provides life-saving pediatric and critical high-risk maternal healthcare for children and expectant mothers with limited access to medical services. Our doctors, nurses, and staff deliver care with dignity and expertise — from emergency interventions to ongoing treatment — helping children heal and guiding families through some of their most critical moments.
Make a gift to help continue this impact and support the work that helps children and families build better futures.
