Recipe: Pwason an Sòs
Fish in sauce
Time: 60 mins Serves: 4
Ingredients
Dri Blan (“White Rice”)
- 2 cups of rice
- 3 cups of water
- 1 tsp of salt
- 4 tsp of oil
- 5 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, thinly chopped
Pwason an Sòs (“Fish in Sauce”)
- 2 pieces of white fish
- 3 lemons
- 1 Tbsp of oil
- 2 tsp of salt
- 1 cup of water
Directions
- To make rice, heat pot over medium heat. Add oil, garlic, green onion, stirring for 2 minutes. Add salt and water and bring to a boil, then add rice. Boil for 2 minutes, reduce to simmer for 30 minutes or until water fully absorbs.
- Clean fish, then cover in the juice from the lemons and salt, letting marinate for 10 minutes. Heat oil in pan, add water and fish and let boil for 15-20 minutes. Serve over rice.
