Southeast Board Hosts “Spring Fling 2017”
The “Spring Fling 2017,” a fun evening of networking and highlighting the work of NPH USA, was hosted by the Southeast Board on May 17 in Miami. The annual event attracted devoted supporters and donors from the Greater Miami area, as well as new group of people interested in becoming involved in the NPH USA mission.
In an informal program, John Price, president of the Southeast Board and a National Board member, gave the guests an update on the NPH USA goals and the many ways that generous individual and corporate support can provide loving, secure homes for the beautiful NPH children and youth in Latin American and Caribbean countries. The special speaker for the evening was Alfredo Benitez, currently NPH Country Liaison and a former director of the NPH Honduras home, who told his amazing story of growing up a Pequeño in Mexico with his eight brothers and sisters, and how they have all achieved success in their lives. Alfredo’s deep gratitude to the NPH family and his continuing dedication to its children was truly inspiring!
In the closing moments of the evening, the guests had a chance to win wonderful raffle prizes donated by individuals and businesses in Miami. However, the big winner of the night was the 3,200 kids supported by the donors of NPH USA!
