Meet Roxana “Roxy” Menjivar de Gonzalez an Hermana Mayor (“Older Sister”) from NPH El Salvador, and hear her inspiring story.
Roxy joined the NPH El Salvador family at the age of 10. One of six siblings, she and her sister were forced to grow up quickly, caring for their younger siblings as their family faced devastating hardship—surviving largely on the kindness of others.
Today, Roxy has come full circle, returning to NPH as a psychologist, guided by faith and a deep belief in the dignity of every child. Each day, she walks alongside children as they learn to heal emotionally, experience hope, belonging, and God’s presence in their lives. Her story is a powerful testament to how faith, love, and generosity come together to transform lives and keep Father Wasson’s mission alive.
Roxy will share her story at the masses on February 20 and 21, and you will have a chance to make a donation to support NPH.
