Late in the afternoon of January 18, 2021 two members of our NPH family – Abraham and Emmanuel Delgado, twin fourteen year old sons of NPH USA CFO/COO Christian Delgado – were stuck by a car while skateboarding near their home outside of Chicago. While both boys were badly hurt, sadly Emmanuel did not recover, succumbing to his injuries on January 21, 2021.

We grieve together with the Delgado family over the loss of their son, their brother and their friend. We are deeply saddened as Emmanuel has left us far too soon. Yet in our sadness, we come together as family, united in preserving his memory by caring for others.

Joined with the Delgado family, NPH USA has created the Emmanuel Fund, an enduring and living memorial which will honor and carry forward Emmanuel’s life by supporting the children of Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH, Spanish for “Our Little Brothers and Sisters”).

Gifts to the Emmanuel Fund will provide an ongoing source of financial support for the mission of NPH. We can’t think of a more profound way to honor Emmanuel’s life than to see it paid forward into the lives of other children as the Emmanuel Fund will provide for the children of NPH.
