Celebrating Diana Gabaldon’s 70th Birthday

NPH USA transforms the lives of vulnerable children in Latin America and the Caribbean by supporting the homes, health services and educational programs of Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH, Spanish for “Our Little Brothers and Sisters”). Together, we help children overcome poverty and become leaders in their own communities.

NPH has homes and programs located throughout nine countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. NPH provides food, clothing, safe homes, healthcare, and educational opportunities to more than 7,600 children who otherwise would have none.

Diana Gabaldon, author of the Outlander series of novels, has been a supporter of NPH for nearly 20 years and this fundraiser in her honor (and with her blessing) is her fans’ way to show their love and esteem for her and appreciation of the storytelling she has been doing since 1988 that has transformed so many lives.

Our fundraising goal by her birthday on January 11, 2022: at least $70,000 – a thousand dollars for each year of her life. Of course, if we exceed that goal, that’s even better!

As of February 9, 2022, we have received 626 gifts totaling $26,487!

NPH USA, Federal Tax ID# 65-1229309, is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. The costs listed represent average expenses at the NPH homes in Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua and Peru. Each gift represents a contribution to the entire program of NPH USA. Donations are tax deductible to the extent provided by law and subject to our donation disclosure statements, and will be used where most needed.
