Matthew Prill is currently serving as an NPH volunteer social worker in Guatemala. Matthew has a deep passion for cultural exchange, human connection, and storytelling. His journey began with a trip to Nicaragua at age 17, sparking a lifelong dedication to Latin America and the Spanish language. He later served as an English teacher in Tankarpata, Peru, and as a case manager with La Puente in rural Colorado, gaining hands-on experience in community-based social work. Currently serving at NPH Guatemala, Matthew brings empathy, insight, and lived experience to his work with children and families. He plans to continue his commitment to elevating human stories by pursuing a dual-degree in Bilingual Journalism and Latin American Studies at the University of Arizona.
