Many of our current members are former international volunteers, sponsors of children in an NPH home, or have family and other ties to NPH USA. The Mid-Atlantic/Northeast Associate Board is looking for new members! If you interested in joining or would like more information, please contact our Associate Board Chair, Carson Stevens at infoma-ne@nphusa.org. Member VoicesWhy do Associate Board members support NPH? Chair Carson Stevens says, “The home in Honduras welcomed me into the NPH family. The Associate Board has allowed me to continue that connection. With the group’s outreach and fundraising, we have the opportunity to show people how awesome NPH is, the vital work the homes do for children and families, and how personally gratifying it can be to join the effort. Highlights of my time on the board include Pints for Pequeños, Wine class, trivia (virtual and in person), paint night, and exercise classes. I’m hopeful we are able to convince folks that sharing their time, money, and knowledge with NPH is monumental in transforming lives.” |

A Taste of NPH: Virtual Wine Tasting
December 2, 2020
This month, the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast Regional Associate Board kicked off the season of giving during their first-ever virtual wine tasting! Hosted by our friend Gasper the Wine Guy, we spent the evening with friends and family learning wine basics and tasting two delicious wines. Thanks to Gasper’s incredible knowledge we’re on our way to becoming wine connoisseurs AND had the chance to support a cause we care about! Together we raised $3,557 to support NPH’s nutrition and sustainability programs. At NPH, nutrition & sustainability go hand in hand because our homes strive to be as self-sufficient as possible. Each one grows fruit and vegetables, and some raise cattle, poultry and even fish. This ensures that thousands of children receive vitamin and mineral-rich diets ensuring that they properly learn, grow, and advance developmentally. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this event and helped us raise enough money to provide food for 1,500 children for a day!

We are thrilled to announce that through their generosity we were able to raise over $2,700 which will directly support our COVID-19 emergency relief fun. Thank you to everyone involved for a fun evening in benefit of NPH USA and be on the lookout for an upcoming announcement with more opportunities for virtual fun! 5th Annual Pints for Pequeños
June 6, 2019: Boston
Harpoon Brewery’s tasting room was full of energy as we celebrated education at NPH. Kicking off the summer with warm weather and the chance of rain, we all learned more about what connects people. Whether it be the brews or passion for the mission, all were excited to share how they fell in love with NPH. Through the chatter, popping of balloons, and clinking of glasses we banded together in support of education and allowing children the resources to shape their own future to raise almost $2,000 for education at NPH!
Our NPH Honduras speaker, Esmeralda Gonzalez, shared a glimpse into her life as an NPH pequeña and university scholarship recipient. In Esme’s words, “our NPH family is the second opportunity life gives to a kid who has motivation to dream and become an adult with goals for their future. Thanks to all of you who are making a story like mine possible for others.”
