Help GUS students make a difference at NPH Dominican Republic!

button-green-printIn 2004, Glen Urquhart School established a relationship with the Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH), a network of homes in Latin America, when 8th grade students first volunteered at NPH Honduras. Since then, our students have continued to learn the meaning of community as they experience how one organization helps children born into poverty and neglect become productive citizens of the world.

This April, the 8th grade class at GUS will travel to the NPH home in the Dominican Republic, where they will spend one week working and playing with over 220 children living at Casa Santa Ana. As part of their service learning project, students have committed to raising money towards education materials and supplies for the children at NPH Dominican Republic.

For millions of boys and girls education is only a dream, but for the children at NPH Casa Santa Ana in the Dominican Republic it is priority and a reality, made possible by support and donations. Education is an important part of helping children overcome obstacles and providing opportunities for a brighter future. There are over 200 children in daily attendance at the primary and secondary schools at NPH Dominican Republic.

Please donate to the efforts of the 8th grade and help to make a difference in the lives of others!
