Message from the UPMW Regional Board President, Vic Roers

Greetings NPH Supporters!Vic Roers Photo

It is my honor and pleasure to serve the Upper Midwest Region as the President of the Regional Board.  I have been involved with NPH USA since 2011, when I first visited NPH Honduras, home to over 500 children.  This loving and picturesque home in the mountains became my “home away from home” and I soon found myself organizing events and travel opportunities to introduce friends and family to this amazing organization and the children that I came to love.

I visit the NPH homes in Honduras and El Salvador annually, and I will travel to our home in Haiti in January 2019.  It brings me immense joy to serve on behalf of the children, whether by attending regional fundraising events (5K, Gala, Pequeno Tour) or sharing my personal NPH connection at schools, churches, or organizations across the Upper Midwest. I am passionate about regional growth and I am committed to travelling within our six state region to spotlight opportunities to get involved with NPH USA.  I invite you to contact the NPH USA office to request an ambassador/speaker to visit your workplace, church, school, club, etc.

If I offered you the opportunity to try some new and delicious foods and told you that by doing so you would make a positive impact in the lives of NPH children… would I have captured your interest?  Such an opportunity exists!  I am thrilled to host a “Taste of NPH” event on April 7th in Minneapolis, which will feature popular dishes from Honduras, El Salvador and Mexico.  Don’t miss this opportunity to introduce your friends and family to NPH!  Our team of local and international volunteers will provide a tasty and unique dining experience for you, including baleadas, pupusas, elotes, fried plantains, and horchata.  Additional event details and registration is available on the NPH USA event page – don’t miss it!

I thank you for providing hope, love and support to the over 3,400 children that we serve and I hope to see you at an upcoming event!

In gratitude,
Vic Roers
NPH USA Upper Midwest Region Board President
