Marsha fell in love with the children of NPH when she visited Miacatlán in 2007. She was a chaperone for high school girls from our church Life Teen program. That is when she met our first Goddaughter at the age of 4. We soon sponsored her younger sister as well. Since 2007 we have visited NPH Mexico twice a year every year except during the pandemic. It is hard to fathom those two girls Marsha met at 2 and 4 will be 18 and 20 years of age this year. What a great experience for all of us! It’s not over though along the way, Marsha was “sponsored” by a high school and we added two boys as well. They stuck to us like glue.
Marsha’s love for NPH began the day she stepped foot in Casa San Salvador. It is hard to believe that one of the girls we sponsor graduated form the university last year, one is in dental school, two are studying at the University. The youngest is in high school.
Marsha not only loves our Godchildren but all of the pequeños she has met over the years. They have been a blessing to Marsha and I. I can also say that Marsha has been a blessing to them. These children know they are loved and love her as well. NPH has been a gift to us. We are grateful.
