I know it may be hard to believe given my youthful looks ;), but I am turning 50 this year! As I reflect on my first half century, I can easily see the impact of my 27th and 28th years of life. During those two years, I lived in Honduras at a home for orphaned and abandoned children, called Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos, or NPH.

When people have never heard of NPH, I often just explain that it is an amazing home that serves thousands of children. However, that is a complete over-simplification. NPH cares for children, of course, but it also cares for families and communities.
