$37,982 Raised on #GivingTuesday!
On November 28, 2017 – the Tuesday after Thanksgiving – NPH USA was again part of the Giving Tuesday Movement.
11/29/2017 UPDATE: We are thrilled to announce that 2017 was our most successful Giving Tuesday to date. Thanks to the generosity of 97 donors on Facebook and our Web site, we received $37,982, not including potential matching funds. That is more than the first five years of Giving Tuesday combined.

NPH USA is pleased to announce it has again joined #GivingTuesday. Occurring this year on November 28, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick off the holiday giving season. The goal is to inspire people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities and give in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support, and help create a better world.
Frank Donaghue, President and CEO of NPH USA, states, “In the countries where we work, there is no Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Millions of people do not think about holiday sales or buying the latest electronic gadget. They struggle to survive. #Giving Tuesday is a wonderful way to remind ourselves that there are people less fortunate than ourselves who need help.”
In 2016, the fifth year of #GivingTuesday, millions of people in 98 countries came together to give back and support the causes they believe in. Over $177 million was raised online to benefit a tremendously broad range of organizations, and much more was given in volunteer hours, donations of food and clothing, and acts of kindness.
NPH USA is grateful to the people who gave more than $5,700 in 2016. This was an increase from 2015, and we hope to see another one this year. We invite you to help give joy to the thousands of orphaned, abandoned and disadvantaged children in our care.
| DOUBLE THE JOY! On #GivingTuesday, Facebook and The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will be matching up to $2 million of funds raised for U.S. nonprofits through Facebook’s charitable giving tools.
