NPH operates in regions that are in dire need of support—where children are forced to live on the streets in unsafe and dangerous conditions. Families are torn apart by poverty. Many children have no access to even food, clean water, basic health care, and an education.

Where would an injured or ill Haitian child with cancer go if St. Damien Pediatric Hospital didn’t exist?

The answer is, “nowhere.” Without the resources we provide, a child with an easily curable infection could face a tragic and premature death.

#GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
