I grew up in Colorado, in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. During the summer I love backpacking, climbing mountains, and enjoying the sunshine. In my free time, I love painting watercolor, doing Muay Thai kickboxing, and salsa dancing. After high school, I wanted to broaden my worldview, so I moved to Chicago and attended Loyola University for college. During undergrad, I spent a year living and studying abroad in Madrid and Granada, Spain, where I learned to speak Spanish fluently. Since graduating, I’ve been working full time in a reproductive health clinic in Colorado, serving vulnerable populations and educating on sexual and reproductive health. After my time with NPH, I plan to apply to medical school so I can continue to serve my community through healthcare.

I have been dreaming of post-grad service since I was young. I decided to serve with NPH because I love their dedication to working in partnership with the community, in lieu of charity work. I’m so excited to build relationships with the other international volunteers and learn more about the culture and tradition from the locals in Honduras. I see this as an opportunity to learn more about myself, the global community, and social determinants of health. I know this experience will be incredibly impactful and it is something that I will carry with me throughout my life and career.

Donate to support me and the NPH children.
