Regional Director’s Message

A couple of weeks ago, my family and I went to the airport to bid farewell to our goddaughter, who spent the past ten months living with us as part of the NPH Seattle Institute. As we exchanged hugs (and more than a few tears) with Saravia and the other students, I felt immense pride in their growth over the past year and excitement for their future back at NPH, and beyond.  I am also deeply grateful for the opportunity to share our home and family with Saravia, to build friendships with the students and their host families and mentors, and to support them and all the kids at NPH through my work everyday. You can read a reflection by Program Director Jacqueline Shrader on the past year of the NPH Seattle Institute and our partnership with iLEAP to train emerging leaders at NPH here.  I hope that, like me, you feel proud, excited, and grateful for your connection with NPH and our children.  I want you to know that your support is truly transforming each of their lives, and that thousands of kids like Saravia have become educated, healthy, caring citizens because of you.  Thank you!
