Southeast Region

About the region

Map - SoutheastFounded in 2005 following the formation of the national NPH USA organization, the Southeast regional office encompasses the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina and South Carolina.

In addition to fundraising, the office obtains in-kind donations, such as new clothing, school and medical supplies, and health care items, from individuals and corporations and ships them to the Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH, Spanish for “Our Little Brothers and Sisters”) homes. In-Kind gifts mean less of each home’s budget is used for basic needs — freeing up funds for costly healthcare items, building maintenance, and other critical areas. If you are interested in making an in-kind donation, please contact Alfredo Benitez, NPH Home Liaison, at (786) 286-2656 or

NPH raises the kids and we raise the funds, and we need your help! We welcome everyone who would like to get involved. Register online today to volunteer!

Southeast Board Hosts “Spring Fling 2017”

The “Spring Fling 2017,” a fun evening of networking and highlighting the work of NPH USA, was hosted by the Southeast Board on May 17 in Miami. The annual event attracted devoted supporters and donors from the Greater Miami area, as well as new group of people interested in becoming involved in the NPH USA mission.

In an informal program, John Price, president of the Southeast Board and a National Board member, gave the guests an update on the NPH USA goals and the many ways that generous individual and corporate support can provide loving, secure homes for the beautiful NPH children and youth in Latin American and Caribbean countries. The special speaker for the evening was Alfredo Benitez, currently NPH Country Liaison and a former director of the NPH Honduras home, who told his amazing story of growing up a Pequeño in Mexico with his eight brothers and sisters, and how they have all achieved success in their lives. Alfredo’s deep gratitude to the NPH family and his continuing dedication to its children was truly inspiring!

In the closing moments of the evening, the guests had a chance to win wonderful raffle prizes donated by individuals and businesses in Miami. However, the big winner of the night was the 3,200 kids supported by the donors of NPH USA!
