Update on NPH Mexico Relocation
In March 2025, NPH Mexico and NPH International announced the decision to move the primary school children currently living in Miacatlán to Cuernavaca this year. In May, the decision was made to extend the relocation until the end of the 2025-2026 school year (July 2026). This adjustment reflects our unwavering commitment to ensuring the best interests and care of the children and young people. They will be informed of this change in the coming days.
This move ensures they continue to grow and thrive under the same core values that have always guided us—love, family, and a commitment to their future. While change can be challenging, we are dedicated to making this transition as smooth and positive as possible for every child, caregiver, and staff member involved.
The community programs will be paused starting July 2025. This pause is necessary to allow staff to fully focus on the relocation process and to re-evaluate how these programs will be structured in the future. Further updates will be provided once new timelines are established.
Why is the move postponed until 2026?
There are still logistical aspects that require further preparation before we can welcome the children to Casa Buen Señor—most importantly, the development of Casa Cuasi-Familiares (Quasi-Family Style Homes), which are designed to provide a nurturing, family-like environment that meets specific care standards.
This decision allows us to extend the timeline, ensuring a smoother and more thoughtful transition. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and donors, we are able to strengthen our transition plan and offer better opportunities to the children in our care.
We greatly appreciate your ongoing support and partnership as we continue to move forward in the best interests of the children and young people in our care.
