Frequently Asked Questions
Will there be an in person event this fall?
No. Because of safety concerns surrounding COVID-19, we have cancelled the Northwest Region’s Gala Dinner & Auction, the Southwest’s Faces of Hope Dinner, the Upper Midwest’s Celebrando a los Niños Gala, the Midwest’s Viva La Familia Gala, and the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast’s Love without Limits and Oysters for Orphans. Instead, WE’RE JOINING FORCES and having a National Virtual Gala!
Who is this for?
Everyone! This family-friendly virtual party is great for all ages.
Does it cost anything?
Nope, it’s free! If you would like to sponsor the event for a gift of $100 or more, please click here.

You’ll be able to access the virtual event from our NPH USA National Virtual Gala landing page. The auction bidding and virtual program will be hosted through our partner, Auction Harmony. When I tune in, will others be able to see me?

Will this be boring like my other virtual meetings?
No way! Our guests will bring tons of energy to your screen. Plus, you will hear inspiring stories, and the auction is packed with terrific items, so bid high and bid often! VIP guests will receive NPH USA swag, including a cape. So mask up and wear your cape to show that you are an NPH Superhero!

May I donate something for the silent auction?
YES! We are looking for fun and unique items to include in our silent auction packages and love to see YOUR favorite businesses represented! Click here to learn more.
I logged in to Auction Harmony and I can see the video, but when I click the buttons in the top menu it seems like nothing happens?
Just scroll down the page. On some screens, especially smaller ones like iPads, you might not see the buttons below the video for Auction, Make a Donation, Checkout, and Learn More. Scroll down on the page and you should see them.
How do I make a bid?
Navigate to the “auction” button where you are able to view all biddable lots. Find something you like? Select the lot to review the description and pricing information. If you would like to place a bid, on the lot scroll down and select your bid price from the listed options and click “place bid.” Confirm your bid via the popup and you’re all set! If you’re outbid on the lot you will be notified via email and text which will allow you to bid again if you’d like. Happy Bidding!
How do I make a donation during the event?
Click the “Make a Donation” button to view a grand total of donations and make your gift. Simply select the amount that you would like to donate and answer the questions on the next screen. Click “make donation” to finalize your contribution.
How do I complete my auction purchase and/or donation?
You’ll be prompted to enter your credit card information when you bid on an auction item or make a donation. But you’ll need to finalize your purchase(s) by clicking the “checkout” button after the auction closes, or whenever you’re done if you’re not bidding on anything. There, you’ll see your total, including all auction items you won and your donation. Once you complete your purchase, you’ll be emailed a receipt. If you pay by credit card, your card will be charged on Monday, October 19, 2020. The charge will be made by Auction Harmony.
What if I want to pay for my donation and auction items with something other than a credit card?
No problem! You’ll still have to enter a credit card to bid or donate, but when you get to Checkout, just select “I want to pay a different way.” Then specify your payment request and we’ll contact you to process the payment. You can pay by check, stock, or a gift vehicle like a donor-advised fund. You can also split your payment and pay for just your auction items with your credit card and your donation another way. Just add it in the notes section.
How will I receive my auction items?
Please pay close attention to each auction item description, which will note how you will receive your item(s) as the winning bidder. Any restrictions will be noted in the description and, if applicable, your item(s) will be shipped within two weeks following the Gala.
Are any items restricted to certain locations?
Some auction items will begin with state abbreviations. This means that the items are only able to be shipped, picked up, or used within the certain states.
What’s the hashtag?
So great that you asked! It is #NPHUSAGala. If you are an event sponsor and receive a party pack, please share your cape photos. Even if you don’t sponsor, you can make your own cape and share photos. You can even get your kids and pets in on the act! And be sure to check out our Facebook event page!
