St. Damien Collaborative Event
On Friday, October 22, the Virtual St. Damien Collaborative Event raised funds to support NPH Haiti’s St. Damien Pediatric Hospital. Founded in 1989, St. Damien is the premier children’s hospital in all of Haiti and offers many services that are not available anywhere else. Despite constant unstable and perilous conditions throughout the country, the dedicated team of more than 500 local people provides over 80,000 medical services to high-risk pregnant women and children each year.
VIRTUAL VISIT TO ST. DAMIEN:
The St. Damien Collaborative for the Improvement of Pediatrics in Haiti is a unique partnership of pediatric residency programs from Haiti and the United States. Cohen Children’s Medical Center has partnered with St. Damien Children’s Hospital as well as other collaborative members from Akron Children’s Hospital, Alpert Medical School, Brown University, University of Connecticut, Dell Children’s Hospital, East Tennessee State University, The University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital, Nebraska Medical Center, Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughter, as well as others as part of the St. Damien Collaborative.

Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH) means “Our Little Brothers and Sisters” in Spanish. NPH USA transforms the lives of vulnerable children in Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Peru. Together, we help children overcome poverty and become productive, caring leaders in their own communities. Founded in 1954 by Father William Wasson, NPH is supporting nearly 8,000 children, both inside and outside our homes, ensuring they have a safe and nurturing place to live, an education, clothing, healthcare, and a strong family support system.
