Lafayette, CA 94549-4718
About
Please join us for Margaritas & Music, a Taco Truck, a Jewelry Pop-up Store by Love You More, and Raffle Prizes to benefit the kids of NPH.
Hosted by Phil and Tracy Murphy
We invite you to a special complimentary event to learn about the more than 9,000 children and families we serve across Latin America and the Caribbean. This gathering will offer an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by giving a gift or sponsoring a child. Your support can help children reach their full potential, become compassionate leaders in their communities, and break the cycle of intergenerational poverty—creating brighter futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Guest Speaker: José Bermudez, Hermano Mayor (“Older Brother”), NPH Mexico
Born in a small rural town in Guerrero, Mexico. José is one of 12 siblings. His family lived in extreme poverty with no running water or electricity. The children did not go to school and were lucky if they had one meal a day. Soon after being diagnosed with cancer, their mother passed away. Their father became very depressed, and didn’t take care of the children. Fortunately, José’s older sister Alicia heard about an organization called Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH) and took the children there. José was five years old when he joined the NPH family with six of his brothers and sisters.
Today, José is an ambassador for NPH, following founder Father William Wasson’s dream of the children giving back. He lives in the San Francisco Bay area raising his family and running his own business.
Free to attend. RSVP required by April 25.
